can anyone tell me were i can sign up for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in the United States please i looked and could not find it anywhere i live in North Carolina and i would hope there is one near by

The JLPT in the US is administered through The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles. You can take it in the following cities.
* Atlanta - Georgia Institute of Technology
* Chicago - De Paul University, Lincoln Campus
* Honolulu - University of Hawaii at Manoa
* Los Angeles - University of Southern California
* New York - Columbia University
* San Francisco - San Francisco State University
* Seattle - University of Washington
* Washington DC - Georgetown University

With the exception of Japan, the JLPT in countries outside the United States is administered mostly through local Japan Foundation offices. Please go to http://momo.jpf.go.jp/jlpt/e/list_e.html for the list of Local Host Institutions of JLPT for each country.

In Japan, the JLPT is administered by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). If you took the test in Japan, or are planning to take the test in Japan, you must go through them for test registration or score report reissuing. Hey everyone I started a JapanLinked.com sister site dedicated to the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

I have been meaning to do this but as everyone knows I am a zillion things to do so I whipped this site up in 24 hours.
I will have all the Kanji, word, and grammar lists up very soon. In the mean time you can get some information on the different levels as well as important dates, and general information.
