Hello all,

I'm an uni student in Seattle. I have been to Japan twice. Once for a homestay during the summer. Another time travelling around the entire country during spring.

I'm finishing up 3rd year Japanese language right now before summer. It is my minor.

My major is Japan Studies. I have a very strong interesting in Japanese Literature (especially the works of Haruki Murakami and Kenzaburo Oe).

I hope that I can contribute to the community and learn new things along with other interested people.

How was the Home Stay, I have lived in Japan for 6 years now. But I have yet met anyone here doing a Home Stay.

The homestay was very fun. It was the sumer of 2005, or 2004, I believe it was extremely hot. I was in Mito-shi Ibaraki-ken so about 1-hour northeast of Tokyo.

My family was pretty rich (even though my house back at home in the US was larger.)

I attended high school, sports, went places, traveled to a lot of jinjas, fireworks at the beach, both disnies, etc. etc.

Where in Japan are you living?

Has the sakura season already passed?
